News about the chamber

There are only 10 booths left for this year’s Business Expo on Tuesday, Sept. 11, and 10 luncheon tickets left.

The presenting sponsor for this year’s business expo is B&W Hardware, and it will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at Richland Creek Community Church. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend.

Before the Expo at 12 p.m., we’ll hold a First Responders Luncheon sponsored by Allstate-Thomas Walters. Only 10 tickets remain available. Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased online. Come show your support for our local first responders, and hear from guest speaker and disabled veteran ambassador Staff Sergeant Timothy Payne.

Following the luncheon, the exhibitor hall doors will open, and visitors will be able to browse 100 booths and attend educational seminars facilitated by Wake Tech.

Atlantic Tire & Service will present the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Golf Tournament on Oct. 2, the event which helps the chamber raise money for its educational programming.

Only a few foursomes remain so you are urged to register today before all are sold.

Registration is inclusive and includes greens fees, range balls, mulligans, a tournament gift, a shotgun raffle ticket with the chance to win $200, breakfast before play, beverages during play and a celebratory lunch reception. Cost is $200 per golfer. Call or email the chamber to sign up.
