The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre is pleased to announce a new monthly series designed by movie lovers for movie lovers.
“Cinema at the Centre” is an evening of film and discussion that invites participants to watch and discuss films in a manner that encourages critical thinking while considering different worldviews, truths, faiths and meaningful questions about life, relationships and the purpose found in each film. The series promises to feature a wide range of films from Oscar winners to classics to documentaries with an emphasis on each film’s meaning and significance.
Concessions, including popcorn and soft drinks, will be available for purchase.
Due to the terms and conditions in its agreement with the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, the Renaissance Centre is not permitted to announce the title of each month’s film to the general public. However, here’s a hint about the Sept. 11 film: it’s a 2012 romantic comedy-drama starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro. The film received eight Academy Award nominations, with Lawrence winning the Academy Award for Best Actress.
The Renaissance Centre may publicize movie titles through its email subscription service and the Special Events Hotline.
