The Wake Forest Farmers Market will return to its full four hours – 8 a.m. to noon – on Saturday, April 4, with more vendors, more local produce and a scavenger hunt for kids with prizes. There will also be a drawing at noon for $20 in market bucks, and Eugene Taylor will provide the music.
You can find the market in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street. In two weeks, on April 18, the market will host the first of three crafts markets planned for this spring, summer and fall. The Spring Solstice Market will have longer hours – from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. — and should have a full sampling of the crafts and crafts people in the area.
The market’s vendors offer farm-fresh produce, pasture-raised meats, free-range eggs, local cheese, local honey, delicious baked goods, and assorted crafts items. For a full list of vendors and their wares, go to www.wakeforestfarmersmarket.org.
