Look for more variety at the market

We may have put the worst of winter behind us, and the current warm days are like gold to the farmers who grow seasonal produce for the Wake Forest Farmers Market. If the warmth (relative warmth) continues, look for much more produce in the coming weeks.

And there has always been a real array of meats and vendors – beef, chicken, pork, lamb, rabbit, duck and goat – in all different cuts and processes, including several varieties of sausage.

Shoppers will also find eggs, honey, coffee, baked goods, micro greens, handmade jewelry, soap, cheese and wood crafts.

You can find it in the OneCare Inc. parking lot behind CVS along North White Street from 10 a.m. to noon. The winter hours will continue through March. For more about the market, go to Facebook or www.wakeforestfarmersmarket.org or call 919-671-9269.
