She will be demonstrating encaustic art.

Katherine Bishop Studio at 1220 Sky Hill Place, Wake Forest

Katherine Bishop: After taking classes in many mediums I found oil and charcoal fit my personality. Both of these work well doing portraits. I also paint landscapes of many of the places I have visited.” She will be demonstrating in oils.

Art in the Forest at 545 Rodney Bay Crossing, Wake Forest

Ginger Bollman: Ginger began creating stained glass artwork in 2001, and it has been her passion ever since.  Her graphics and photography background gives her a unique ability to create extraordinary designs by selecting the perfect pieces of glass to capture the desired overall composition.    Diana Reed Clark:My favorite medium? Watercolor and acrylic top the list followed by pastel.  There are so many yet to try. My choice of subjects? Variety! Family, landscapes, still lifes, florals are subjects I love. Lights, shadows and reflections intrigue me.” She will be demonstrating in watercolor.

Juan Alberto Leon:My acrylic paintings represent scenes of open fields and valleys and the human reflection of times that have affected our way of life.  I was born in a historical colonial city full of a vibrant heritage – Havana, Cuba.  I have lived in the United States since the sixties and have had a life filled with great experiences which contribute to who I am today as an artist.”

Gail McIntosh:She enjoys creating paintings that reflect God’s creation, stirring the emotions of one’s heart, bringing forth a sense of tranquility, or recalling a fond memory. Perhaps thinking back on days that were less complicated of a childhood days playing on a swing that hung from a huge tree, a climbing tree, a spot to picnic or escape from the heat of the day. She will be demonstrating in watercolor. Paul McIntosh:Paul Collier McIntosh is a wood carver and photographer. After moving to North Carolina, he joined the Senior Center in Wake Forest and learned how to manage a bench knife, dremel, wood burning and other equipment. Paul has entered a number of competitions and earned first and second place ribbons. He will be demonstrating in wood.

Dan Root: “I turn exotic wood into bowls, platters, vases, urns, goblets, plates, and candy dishes. I use wood from all over the world, making very colorful designs. All wood is natural in color with no dyes or stains added.”
