The 2021 Wake Forest Holiday Artisans Market will be held indoors and outdoors at the Renaissance Centre, 401 S. Brooks St., and outdoors in the parking lot of The Forks Cafeteria, 339 S. Brooks St., on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s indoor and outdoor market is presented by ARTS Wake Forest and will feature a wide variety of items handmade by 60 regional artists and craftspeople.
Free and open to the public, the market will include potters, jewelry artists, ceramicists, fine artists, photographers, woodworkers, candle makers, fiber artists, and other craftspeople. The organization is accepting artist applications for an event wait list.
“The annual Holiday Artisans Market event provides a place for talented local artists to share their creations with holiday shoppers,” said Mary Petretich, ARTS Wake Forest president. “Our market is a great place to shop local for quality, handcrafted items, especially during this holiday season of anticipated shortages and supply chain issues.”
In addition to shopping, visitors can also support food insecure individuals and families in the community with a donation to Tri-Area Ministry Food Panty, which will be collecting dry goods, canned goods, non-perishables, and personal hygiene products at the event. A 50/50 raffle supporting ARTS Wake Forest will also be held with tickets selling for $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. The winner will receive half of the total amount collected in the raffle.
Holiday Artisans Market organizers will adhere to the Renaissance Centre’s COVID-19 safety protocols at the time of the event. Market vendors and attendees are encouraged to follow safety measures, also.
