The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre is offering a “do-over” after showing the wrong movie during Monday’s free “flix4kidz.”
As its way of apologizing to guests who expected to see one movie but got a different one instead, the Renaissance Centre will host a special flix4kidz on Monday, Dec. 15, at 10:30 a.m. But that’s not all! In addition to showing the advertised movie, staff will serve a free bag of popcorn to everyone in attendance.
Due to the terms and conditions outlined in its agreement with the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, the Renaissance Centre may not publicize film titles to the general public. However, here’s a hint about the Dec. 15 film: it’s a G-rated 1992 musical fantasy-comedy and an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” It is also the fourth in a series of musical films featuring The Muppets with Michael Caine starring as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Located at 405 S. Brooks St., the Renaissance Centre typically offers flix4kidz at 10:30 a.m. on the second Monday of each month. These free family-friendly movie showings feature only G- or PG-rated children’s and family films. Concessions, including soft drinks, are available for purchase.
