Find fall decorations at the market

Are you ready to redecorate your front porch or yard for fall? Then go to the Wake Forest Farmers Market Saturday where you will find mums in a rainbow of colors, corn stalks, perennial plants and pumpkins.

The market is in its new location in Renaissance Plaza where East Elm Avenue cross Brooks Street, and it is open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday.

Kyle Scobie will provide the live music this Saturday. The Master Gardeners will be available to answer your questions about plants, gardening and soil.

The market is made up of growers-only vendors within 75 miles of town, and they offer in-season produce, micro greens, honey, eggs, baked goods including gluten-free goods, cheddar cheese, plants, bedding plants, fresh-cut flowers, hand-made jewelry, and soaps.

Several vendors offer meats – beef, pork, chicken, goat and rabbit – and they come in all forms and cuts from steaks to sausage.

See the market on Facebook, take a look at all the vendors and their wares as well as special events at www.wakeforestfarmersmarket.org or call 919-671-9269 if you need information.
