Did somebody say strawberries? Yes, indeed, and you can find them at the Wake Forest Farmers Market Saturday, April 1, when the market also returns to its summer hours, 8 a.m. to noon. The market sets up its tents and booths in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street in front of the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre.
There will be several new farmers at the market Saturday and in coming weeks. Also, the market has lined up some interesting attractive events.
On April 15 Red Hen Enterprises will give a demonstration about vermicomposting – using worms to make really rich compost – from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The Spring Craft Market will be held on April 22 – the first of three crafts markets held every year. Terri Wilkinson says there are still a few spaces available. If you want to show and sell your craft, email to terri_wilkinson@hotmail.com for information and an application.
The market organizers have lost the use of its website and email newsletter along with the market’s email addresses. Currently you can go to the market’s Facebook page to find out which vendors will be at the market each week. You can also get the newsletter by sending a request to either serenitymeadowzfarm@gmail.com or terri_wilkinson@hotmail.com.
