All the family will be howling with delight this Thursday, Oct. 23, if they are at the Halloween Spooktacular at the Flaherty Park Community Center.
Sponsored by the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department, the event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. is free and is oriented at children 12 and younger.
There will be a costume contest, face painting, a haunted maze and cupcake walk and a variety of other ghostly games and activities. There will also be free pumpkins given away as long as the supplies last.
Two new vendors will be on hand, Jay’s Italian Ice and Oscar Williams Cotton Candy, selling their treats during the evening.
The best costumes will be featured on the town’s website.
