Easter Bunny, Easter eggs at Joyner March 28

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28, at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.

Presented by Primrose School of Heritage Wake Forest and Bumgarner & Martin Orthodontics, this free family event will be packed full of crafts, games, prizes and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

This year’s Egg Hunt will include over 10,000 eggs containing prizes and candy hidden across four locations for the following age groups: 3 and younger, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and special needs.

Children ages 3 and younger will hunt for eggs beginning at 10 a.m.; ages 4-6 will begin at 10:20 a.m.; ages 7-9 get underway at 10:40 a.m.; and ages 10-12 commence at 11 a.m. An egg hunt for children with disabilities will begin at 11:30 a.m. A downloadable map of the egg hunt areas is available atwww.wakeforestnc.gov/easter-egg-hunt.aspx.

Registration is not required for the hunts, but participants should come with baskets in hand ready to fill.

The following local businesses and organizations have generously contributed to the 2020 Wake Forest Easter Egg Hunt: Bumgarner & Martin Orthodontics, Primrose School of Heritage Wake Forest, Triangle Family Dentistry, British Swim School, Vision Martial Arts, Wake Skin Cancer Center and Burn Boot Camp.

In the event of inclement weather, the Easter Egg Hunt may be rescheduled for Sunday, March 29.Weather-related updates will be posted on the Town’s website, Nextdoor site and Facebook page and available by calling the Wake Forest Weather Line at 919-435-9569. Smart phone users who have downloaded the Town app will also receive a push notification message concerning any schedule changes.
