During last week’s winter weather problems, thousands of Wake Forest residents received real-time information about road conditions, town operations and more by using the new town app, available for free for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android users.
Search for Town of Wake Forest on iTunes, in the iPhone app store or in Google Play. It can also be downloaded from the town’s website, www.wakeforestnc.gov/app.aspx.
The app gives users information about upcoming events as well as the ability to
* contact the town about street maintenance, lights, potholes and graffiti using the app to send a photo and exact location of the problem
* receive timely notices about parks and recreation practice and game cancellations due to inclement weather
* learn about and locate the town parks and greenways
* pay Wake Forest Power bills online
* access town news
* access the town’s Facebook page
* receive breaking news messages
* link to job listings
* access contact information for every town department.
