Diebolt returns with flowers

One of the favorite visitors to the Wake Forest Farmers Market is Karen Diebolt, who always brings new ideas you can use to make your flower arrangements appear professional and fun. Be sure to check out her flower arranging class for adults this Saturday.

Also drop by the manager’s booth and get a raffle ticket for this year’s Fathers Day gift basket. The winner will be announced June 20.

The Wake Forest Farmers Market is now advertising on the front page of The Wake Forest Gazette, and the ad has a link to the market’s website where Market Manager Robin Hendricks posts a list of that week’s vendors every Friday. Check it out.

If you have shopped sometimes or shop regularly, you know there is an astonishing range of items – food and otherwise – available at the market. You can find everything from seafood fresh from the North Carolina coast to doggie treats to knit caps and scarves to pasture-raised meats to fresh eggs to baked goods to seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The market is open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday in the Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street in front of the town’s Renaissance Centre.

For a full list of vendors and their wares, go to www.wakeforestfarmersmarket.org and you can also find the market on Facebook.
