* The Kiwanis Club of Wake Forest meets at The Forks Cafeteria every Thursday at 7:15 a.m. There are speakers at each meeting except the first meeting of the month, which is devoted to business. * The Wake Forest Garden Club holds its monthly meeting on the second Tuesday (September through May) with a social hour at 9:30 and the regular meeting at 10 a.m. at the Community House on West Owen Avenue. * The Friends of the Wake Forest Public Library is voluntarily dissolving the nonprofit but a skeleton board of Kris Wright, Kenille Baumgardner and Carol Pelosi will oversee the remaining funds until they are all expended on library projects.
