*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 14.
*Shop til late and enjoy free refreshments and carriage rides Friday, Feb. 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. during the monthly Art After Hours.
*Wake Forest’s Mardi Gras Festival will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. all over the historic downtown area. The day will be filled with activities for families and people of all ages.
*Everyone is invited to the 2015 State of the Town Dinner and Address hosted by the Wake Forest Rotary Club. It will be held Monday, Feb. 16, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street. Tickets for the dinner before the address are $15 per person; those who want to hear the address without the dinner should arrive between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. as the address is planned to begin between 6:45 and 7 p.m.
*The Reverse Raffle sponsored by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce will be held Friday, March 20, at the Renaissance Center on Brooks Street.
*Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution, will be at the Wake Forest Historical Museum on North Main Street from April 16 through May 31. This is one of only five North Carolina museums selected to host the exhibit, which is free and will be open to the public every day during the exhibit.
*Tarheel Traveler Scott Mason from WRAL-TV will be at the Wake Forest Historical Museum Sunday, May 3, for a free public program as part of the Hometown Teams exhibit.
