*There will be no Wake Forest Farmers Market Saturday, Dec. 13, because of the Wake Forest Christmas Parade. The Market will return Saturday, Dec. 13, and will be open every Saturday through March 28, 2015, with its winter hours, 10 a.m. to noon.
* The Wake Forest Christmas Parade will start north on South White Street at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. For the best parking and view of the parade, go downtown early to shop, have lunch and then find a curbside stand or seat. The Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is allowing parade parking at its lots near downtown. See the article in this week’s issue for the location of those lots.
*Calls from Santa and Mrs. Santa will be made from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.

*The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in Wake Forest will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church on Friendship Chapel Road. The community dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and the program will begin at 7 p.m.
