*The 2014 Reverse Raffle sponsored by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce will get underway Friday, March 21, at 6 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre. There are still some $125 tickets available for the $10,000 prize.

*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 22, in the parking lot behind CVS.

*Curiosity Cat, a production of Forest Moon Theater, will be on stage at the Franklin Academy at 1127 Chalk Road Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22. See details in this week’s issue.

*Arbor Day will be celebrated in Wake Forest with a tree seedling giveaway, an Arbor Day expo and an Arbor Day program, all at the E. Carroll Joyner Park and all of it free. See details in this week’s issue.

*A Reenactment of the War of 1812 – or at least part of it – complete with muskets and maybe a cannon will take place Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the Wake Forest Historical Museum on North Main Street. It is a free event and it should be a fun time

*Saturday, April 5 is Dirt Day: Get Up, Get Out and Get Dirty! It all takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on South White Street and Owen Avenue. More details in this week’s issue.

*A Rabies/Microchip Clinic will be held at the Northern Regional Center on East Holding Avenue on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to noon. See details in this week’s issue.

*The Wake Weekly’s Health & Wellness Expo will be held Thursday, April 10, from 1 to 7 p.m. at The Factory on South Main Street with a host of exhibitors. It is free and open to the public.

*Six Sundays in Spring, the series of six free outdoor concerts in E. Carroll Joyner Park, will begin Sunday, April 27, with The Hot at Nights as the featured act. There will be more information in coming weeks.

*Meet in the Street will feature Hurricane hockey players, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, a children’s carnival and over 100 artists and artisans in downtown Wake Forest from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.

*The fourth Historic Wake Forest Cemetery Tour will take place Saturday, May 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.

*The Wake Forest Relay for Life will be held Saturday, May 17, at Heritage High School. See more details in future issues.

*The Classic & Antique Charity Car Show will be held Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along South White Street with a rain date of June 21. This is a free event; registration for cars is $20 the day of the show.
