*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be held in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street Saturday, July 8, from 8 a.m. to noon. See the market’s Facebook page for vendors.

*Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday night. All profits support the club’s projects for children. Visit www.wakeforestbingo.com for more information.

*Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry at 149 East Holding Avenue is now open from 9 to 11 a.m. every third Saturday along with its regular hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for food distribution. It serves about 700 families in Wake Forest, Youngsville, Rolesville and their surrounding areas. Call 919-556-7144 for information about receiving food, volunteering and donations. *Hope House Weekly Food Pantry distributes food at 1 p.m. every Thursday. Hope House volunteers pick up the food from the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina and typically has vegetables, fruits, salad packages and breads but sometimes does have meat, eggs, fruit juice and milk. *Cars & Coffee is a free monthly gathering of auto and motorcycle enthusiasts that happens every fourth Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at 940 Gateway Commons Circle.

*Friday Night on White will be back on July 14 featuring Big Love. It takes place on South White Street between 6 and 9 p.m.

*The Listening Room, a new local music scene for aspiring artists, will feature live performances in different downtown shops. The first will take place Saturday, July 15, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Wake Forest Coffee Company.

*The first in a series of workshops about dementia, The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, will be held Thursday, July 20, in the Wake Forest Renaissance Center. See article in this issue for details.

*The Wake Forest Food Truck Rodeo will return on Sunday, July 23, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street with 17 trucks and a beer tent provided by Brooks Street Bowl.

*The Wake Forest Public Art Commission will host a reception Saturday, July 29, to formally open the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit and Spotlight on Wake Forest Artists Exhibit. The event will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Renaissance Centre for the Arts Annex on Brooks Street. Light refreshments will be served.
