*Stroll through downtown Wake Forest for Art After Hours and enjoy meeting friends, visiting with artists, and taking a carriage ride from 5 to 9 Friday night.

*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open its regular summer hours, 8 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, June 14, in the parking lot behind CVS.

*The Classic & Antique Charity Car Show will be held Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along South White Street with a rain date of June 21. This is a free event; registration for cars is $20 the day of the show.

*Freedom Run, a 5K run sponsored by the Wake Forest American Legion Auxiliary, will be held Saturday, June 21.

*Wake Forest’s Fourth of July Celebration will be held over two days. The stadium and fireworks show will be held in Trentini Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest High School on Stadium Drive. The gates will open about 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, and admission is $5. The children’s parade will get underway about 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 4, on North Main Street. The parade-goers will walk to Holding Park afterward for Art-in-the-Park and Games-in-the-Park. More details next week.
