*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in the Renaissance Plaza parking lot on Saturday, Dec. 3, with its winter hours, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

*The Holiday Artisans Market  sponsored by Wake Forest Arts and the Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open for shoppers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street.

*Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday night. All profits support the club’s projects for children. Visit www.wakeforestbingo.com for more information.

*The first Wake Up Wake Forest event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Center. Economist Mark Vitner will offer an indepth look at the future of our economy. The $10 tickets are available at the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce office on South White Street and on the chamber’s website, www.wakeforestchamber.org. You can also purchase tickets for the three planned events for $25.

Christmas in Wake Forest

**Friday, Dec. 2, 6 to 8 p.m. The Lighting of Wake Forest in Centennial Plaza in front of Wake Forest Town Hall on Brooks Street. Free.

**Saturday, Dec. 3, 1 to 7 p.m. The Historic Christmas Home Tour. See article in this issue for ticket and tour information.

**Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Downtown Holiday Open House along South White Street. This is free but you probably will not be able to resist the special sales and offerings so bring cash or cards.

**Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wake Forest Holiday Artisans Market in the Renaissance Centre sponsored by the Wake Forest Farmers Market.

**Sunday, Dec. 4, 3 p.m. The Wake Forest Children’s Choir will perform at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts. This is free.

**Monday, Dec. 5, 6:30 p.m. The Wake Forest Community Christmas Dinner will be held in The Forks Cafeteria. See information about tickets and the annual awards for local people and organizations. This is the 69th year for the dinner.

**Saturday, Dec. 10, 1 p.m. The Wake Forest Christmas Parade will delight thousands as it winds through the historic downtown district.

**Saturday, Dec. 10, 7:30 p.m. A Christmas Jubilee Concert featuring the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra will entertain at the Renaissance Centre. Advance tickets of $15 and $13 for students and seniors will go on sale soon.

*Storytelling Pajama Night featuring Rags to Riches Theatre will be held Friday, Dec. 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. It is part of the Wake Forest Renaissance Center’s Arts for All free community performance series supported by the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County.
