*First Friday Flix return to the Renaissance Centre Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m. for a filming of “42,” the story of Jackie Robinson and his debut as the first black player in major league baseball. Admission is free; you may purchase refreshments and popcorn.
*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open its regular summer hours, 8 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, June 7, in the parking lot behind CVS.
*Take the family to the celebration of National Trails Day at E. Carroll Joyner Park on Harris Road. The day begins at 9 a.m. with a ceremony honoring the volunteers for Adopt-a-Trail and Adopt-a-Stream, and then turns into a fun educational event for children and adults alike. *The Classic & Antique Charity Car Show will be held Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along South White Street with a rain date of June 21. This is a free event; registration for cars is $20 the day of the show.
*Freedom Run, a 5K run sponsored by the Wake Forest American Legion Auxiliary, will be held Saturday, June 21.
