*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in the parking lot behind town hall on Saturday, Aug. 13, with its regular spring, summer and fall hours, 8 a.m. to noon.

*Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. All profits support the club’s projects for children. Visit www.wakeforestbingo.com for more information.

*Friday Night on White will feature The Remedy on Aug. 12. Enjoy a free concert and sample all the different foods from the array of food trucks.

*The first Wake Forest Home & Garden Show hosted by the Renaissance Centre will take place Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14. The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. A variety of exhibits and workshops will be offered. Contact Anna Bolton – abolton@wakeforestnc.gov – to reserve a booth.

*Beach Night on White featuring Jim Quick & Coastline will take place Saturday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m. Downtown shops and restaurants will be open and there will be a variety of food trucks.

*Coffee with a Cop at the Wake Forest Coffee Company, 156 South White Street, on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 8 to 10 a.m., will provide town residents to meet with members of the Wake Forest Police Department to discuss community issues and build relationships.

*Need some peace and quiet away from the TV, computers and phones? Disconnect on Sunday, Sept. 4, at E. Carroll Joyner Park for Wake Forest Unplugged. Beginning at 4 p.m. there will be games and activities ending with a concert by Dark Water Rising from 5 to 7 p.m. The concert is part of the Concerts in the Park series sponsored by the town’s recreation and parks department, PineCone, Wake Forest Arts and United Arts of Raleigh and Wake County.

*The 11th annual Good Neighbor Day is planned for Sunday, Sept. 18, with food, games, music and fun in Holding Park from 1 to 4 p.m. Bring all the family and meet your neighbors.

*Pet owners are looking forward to Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, when the fourth annual Dirty Dogs Pet Extravaganza will take place in E. Carroll Joyner Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. One of the events will be the Ultimate Air Dogs competition and show.

*The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Rolesville Chamber of Commerce to present 2016’s Business Expo at Richland Creek Community Church on Burlington Mills Road on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 3 to 7 p.m. It is open and free to everyone in the Wake Forest-Rolesville area.

*Start some stamina training now to be able to enjoy all the events on Saturday, Dec. 3. On that day the Wake Forest Farmers Market plans its Holiday Artisans’ Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts, the Wake Forest Historic Preservation Commission will sponsor the Christmas Historic Home Tour, and Downtown Wake Forest Inc. will present the Downtown Wake Forest Holiday Open House.
