*Need some peace and quiet away from the TV, computers and phones? Disconnect on Sunday, Sept. 4, at E. Carroll Joyner Park for Wake Forest Unplugged. Beginning at 4 p.m. there will be games and activities ending with a concert by Dark Water Rising from 5 to 7 p.m. The concert is part of the Concerts in the Park series sponsored by the town’s recreation and parks department, PineCone, Wake Forest Arts and United Arts of Raleigh and Wake County.
*The 11th annual Good Neighbor Day is planned for Sunday, Sept. 18, with food, games, music and fun in Holding Park from 1 to 4 p.m. Bring all the family and meet your neighbors.
*Pet owners are looking forward to Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, when the fourth annual Dirty Dogs Pet Extravaganza will take place in E. Carroll Joyner Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. One of the events will be the Ultimate Air Dogs competition and show.
*The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Rolesville Chamber of Commerce to present 2016’s Business Expo at Richland Creek Community Church on Burlington Mills Road on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 3 to 7 p.m. It is open and free to everyone in the Wake Forest-Rolesville area.
