Although the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre remains closed and in-person events suspended due to COVID-19, the center continues to offer online visual and performing arts experiences you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. Tickets are now on sale for the Virtual Murder Mystery “Motivation for Murder” on Friday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m.
If you enjoy the theater intertwined with a good murder mystery, then you’ll love this interactive Zoom murder mystery performed by the Triangle-based theater troupe It’s A Mystery. It’s A Mystery’s interactive comedy mysteries offer fresh, creative and fun entertainment. The group’s original scripts, played out by talented actors, will challenge your brain and tickle your funny bone!
“Will N. Lighten” possesses all the qualities of a world-renowned motivational speaker. Uplifting and encouraging onstage, he plans to use his fame and finesse to make a bid for the White House. Unfortunately, offstage he has many unsavory characteristics that could spoil such an effort: he is slick, greedy, cheats on his wife and is power hungry. He isn’t what he seems.
Motivational speakers talk a lot about harmony with others and feeling good about yourself. Tonight, however, you may notice discord and ill will which lead to murder! It will be up to you and your fellow Zoom attendees to discover who the killer is. Please note: The program contains mature subject matter. Parental guidance is suggested.
Tickets are $10 per household and available for purchase online at www.wakeforestrencen.org/tickets-events. Ticket holders will receive a website link and access code a few days prior to the performance.
