The town’s public facilities department is taking bids for the renovation of the old laundromat building on Brooks Street abutting the town hall campus. It was the first laundromat in town and quite a sensation when it opened in the 1960s. After the renovation the building will house be the offices and shop for the public facilities department headed by Mickey Rochelle.
