Brief Bits

If you have driven through Rolesville recently you know that Rolesville Elementary School has been totally renovated and now is a modern building. But did you know that the school is 90 years old?

The school PTA is planning a 90th Anniversary/Grand Re-Opening event this fall, and want to include a walk-through history of the town and the school. “We are trying to find alumni of the school and town natives who could answer some surveys we’ve created and possibly share any memorabilia they may have,” Ileana Santiago, the PTA secretary, wrote. “We have been posting on FaceBook but have not had any success. Any help connecting us with RES alums or families within your organization that may have town memorabilia going back as far as 1928 or would be interested in filling out a survey about life in Rolesville would be greatly appreciated!”

If you can help, her email is ileana.i.santiago@gmail.com and her cell is 919.720.9457.
