Artists featured Friday night

Friday night the streets in Wake Forest’s historic downtown district will be lively with music, horse and carriage rides and people visiting the shops and studios and meeting the featured artists. Art After Hours is held every second Friday, sponsored by Wake Forest Downtown.

The Cotton Company will be exhibiting the art of Richard Tardell and will host a reception for him from 6 to 9 p.m. with mulled wine and holiday snacks. The exhibit will be at The Cotton Company through Dec. 6.

At the little blue cottage housing the Sunflower Studio on Jones Avenue you will find a reception for Pam Scarboro and her show, “Singular Nature.” There will be refreshments. Sunflower Studio is also featuring art workshops for adults as well as children. Billy Farmer will be the instructor for the adult art workshop from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 21. The fee is $30; register at www.sunflowererstudiowf.com.

Local vocalist and acoustic guitarist Pat Tyler will be featured at Next Consignment Boutique. Her music consists of tunes from James Taylor, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Carol King, John Denver, Joni Mitchell and the Beatles. There will be refreshments.
