Announcing two new Gazette advertisers

The Wake Forest Gazette is happy to announce it has two new advertisers, Nina Jordan with Coldwell Banker Advantage at 953 Gateway Commons Circle and KidsStreet Urgent Care, opening on March 2 at 2115 South Main Street, Suite A., with its ad to premiere next week.

The Gazette has been covering Wake Forest’s news since the spring of 2003 with breaks as Editor/Publisher Carol W. Pelosi had surgeries or medical problems. And she also took a week of vacation in January and June. She is the only staff, but she now has website assistance from Jennifer Ray, owner of Redwood Productions.

The Gazette has had first two and then three faithful advertisers — Bright Funerals, Wake Electric and Casey Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. The editor is indebted to them for their continued support. Advertisers are charged

$100 per month. The ads on the first page for the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce and the Wake Forest Historical Museum are not paid but added for free.

The Gazette is free, always available at www.wakeforestgazette.com and devoted to covering town meetings, events and news of all kinds. There is no charge to subscribe, just fill out the information on the first page and you get a weekly message when the new edition is online. There is no charge for announcements about group meetings or anything else that is noteworthy.

It has covered a rapidly growing town through the strains of deciding to allow Raleigh to take control of our water and sewer systems, through contentious elections, a drought, and snow storms. It has been an eventful 21 years — and there is still more coming to cover.

  1. You have through the years been such an advocate for accuracy, fairness and accountability in Wake Forest. You do not get the recognition you deserve for your publication and efforts. Thank you.

  2. Bravo!!! Now create an easy way for all of your readers to “advertise their support” for this publication.
