The Wake Forest Inspections Department issued permits for 82 new homes in May – 72 single-family homes and 10 townhouses – along with several business buildings. They are the E. Carroll Joyner Park Community Center at 701 Harris Road, CubeSmart at 12405 Wake Union Church Road, Radeas at 907 Gateway Commons Circle, and two multi-tenant buildings at 5103 and 5105 Unicon Drive.
Barnhill Contracting Company will build the community center. There were no fees because it is town-owned, it will have 32,406 square feet and the contract is for $11,337,774. Southeastern Design & Construction will build CubeSmart and paid $2,080.25 in fees for a 2,250-square-foot building valued at $65,600. Ashland Construction Company will build Radeas and paid $29,516.64 in fees for a 25,002-square-foot building worth $2,186,000. Garrett Building Corporation will build the two Unicon Drive buildings. The one at Unicon cost $20,328 in fees for a 26,000-square-foot building worth $300,600; the one at 5105 cost $14,548 in fees for a 12,000-square-foot building worth $634,200.
Lennar Carolinas will build six townhouses on Austin Ridge Parkway in Austin Creek subdivision and D.R. Horton will build four townhouses on Treetop Meadows Lane in the Traditions subdivision. The combined fees were $15,870.07 and the combined increase in value was $1,242,750.
