Theresa Marie Woodby

Theresa Marie Woodby, 65, of Rolesville passed away June 1, 2018 at Hillside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Garfield R. Wilkinson and Evelyn Crowder Wilkinson.
Theresa was a loving mother who wanted nothing but the best for her son and showed this in everything she did. As a member of Rolesville Baptist Church for many years, she served in different capacities. Mrs. Woodby also worked 22 years with Carolina Handling and was a service coordinator before her health began declining.
Friends may visit with the family from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday afternoon, June 8, 2018, at Rolesville Baptist Church followed by a celebration of Theresa’s life at 1 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Woodby is survived by her son, Jeremy Wilkinson-Woodby; siblings, Warren Breeden of Madison, Virginia, Sandra Tarman of Springfield, Virginia, Garfield Wilkinson II, of Springfield, Gary Wilkinson of Sanford and Dana Wilkinson of Charlotte. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and Jeremy’s father, Paul Woodby, and a son, Courtney Woodby.

Chester Leon Greene, 68, of 13100 Sargas Street expired on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Wellington Rehab and Healthcare in Knightdale. He was born on November 15m 1949 in Dutchess County, New York to the late Steaven and Susie Warren Greene.
The funeral service was professionally directed on Saturday, June 2, 2018, t Wake Chapel Baptist Church on Bland Road in Raleigh. Burial was at the Fishkel Rural Cemetery in Fishkel, New York.

Betsy Mills Lucas, 96, of 701 Forestville Road expired on Tuesday, May 29, at her residence. She was born on January 16, 1822 in Wake County to the late Reuben and Lillian Martin Mills.
She joined Friendship Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. She was a charter member of the Pastor’s Aide Committee and the Kitchen Committee.
She was married to the late Cleveland B. Lucas Jr. Her survivors are a daughter Janet Lucas of Wendell; the granddaughter she raised, Tracy Forte (Reginald) of Wake Forest, Sharon Lucas of Raleigh, twins Lurenda Teasley (Joe) of Youngsville and Lucinda Lucas of the home and Kimberly Lucas of Cary; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service was professionally directed on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest and burial followed in the church cemetery.

Ronnie Lee Everette, 63, passed away at his residence on Monday morning, June 4, 2018. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Hazel Patterson Everette and Wesley Long Everette. Ronnie was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning, June 7, 2018, in the Wake Forest Cemetery with the Rev. Spencer Strickland officiating.
Ronnie is survived by his children, Jill Everette Privette, Ronnie Lee Everette II and Rachel Lauren Everette; grandchildren, Justin Rainey Privette, Chasin Ty Privette, Hailey Dawn Privette, Carlie Jo Tennant, Ronnie Lee “Trey” Everette III and Asher Justin Stallings-Everette; and sisters, Evelyn McGhee, Barbara Goswick and her husband, James, Stella Preddy and her husband, Lawrence, Judy Dillard and her husband, Randy, and Carrie Peace-Pridgen and her husband, Kenny.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bryant Everette and Aaron Earl Everette, and his step-father, Graham Timberlake.

Jerry ‘Tony’ Strother

Jerry “Tony” Strother, 77, of Wilson passed away Monday, May 28, 2018. He was born March 18, 194, a son of the late William and Thelma (Horne) Strother.
Tony loved the beach, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was known as a Jack of all trades; he could build anything out of things that were around. Tony enjoyed spending time at his place at Lake Gaston, and he was always the happiest when fishing there. He retired from Precision Walls as a foreman.
Along with his parents, Tony was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Strother.
He is survived by his wife, Celia Strother; his daughter, Gloria Hudnall and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Christian and Layla Hudnall; his sisters, Mary Dean and her husband, Robert, and Rachel Chappell; and nieces and nephews, Glenn Chapell, Donna Holland, Tracy Strother, Jimmy Strother, and Marty Strother.

Robert J. Sokoloski

Robert (“Bob Newport”) Sokoloski , 83, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at his home.
Bob was born January 13, 1935 in Providence, Rhode Island to John and Regina (Durda) Sokoloski. He graduated from Cumberland High School in 1952 and from the Bryant University in 1954. While in college Bob was a member of Alpha Theta Chi.
On October 27, 1956, he married the former Mary Seliga in Valley Falls, Rhode Island. Bob owned Newport Concrete Form Company for over 50 years, and it was known as one of the most successful foundation companies in the New England Region. He was an avid pistol and clay target shooter and a member of the Cumberland Beagle Club, where he was club champion in trap competition for 12 years in a row. He spent most of his winters in Cape Coral, Florida where he lived on the water and spent much of his time boating on his beloved Donzi and shooting trap and skeet at Hansen’s Gun club. Bob moved to Wake Forest five years ago and joined the Charlie Brown Gun club, where he enjoyed shooting and friendships with many of the members. He also enjoyed reading, watching his New England Patriots win five Super Bowl championships, drinking vodka tonics and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his three sons and two daughters, Robert (Bob) Jr. and his wife, Paula (Jackvony) of Foster, Rhode Island, David and his wife, Laurie (Lucena), of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, and Steven Sokoloski of Chepachet, Rhode Island, Debra Bailey and her husband, Keith, of North Kingstown, Rhode Island and Donna Ballou and her husband, Mike, of Wake Forest. Bob also loved and enjoyed his 10 grandchildren, Shawn, Alex, Nicholas, John and Hollie Sokoloski, Dominique and Michele Bailey, Rachel and Haley Ballou, and Danielle Faucher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Regina, his great-granddaughter, Lilliana Noel Carr, and his wife Mary (Seliga) Sokoloski in 2013.

John Henry “Jut” Allen, 77, died at his home on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. He was born June 16, 1940 to the late Wesley and Lethia Allen. Jut was in the tree cutting and trimming business his entire career.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steven Wade Allen in 1996.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial followed in Pine Forest Memorial Garden.
He is survived by Amelia P. Allen of Wake Forest; four sons, Wesley A. and Amy Allen of Franklinton, Johnny W. and Starr Allen of Creedmoor, Michael A. Allen of Youngsville, and John H. Jr. and Kim Allen of Wake Forest; and a daughter, Lisa M. Allen of Wake Forest.

Georgia Lavay Baxter

Georgia Lavay Baxter, 19, is now walking peacefully in heaven on June 5, 2018. Georgia was born July 18, 1998 to Stephen and Mary Ralston Baxter.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, John David Baxter, and her grandfather, John Travis Baxter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church, 5510 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Garden, Wake Forest.

Andrew Michael ‘Andy’ Pacos

Andrew Michael “Andy” Pacos, M.D., 56, of Raleigh passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, after a hard-fought courageous battle with brain cancer.
Dr. Pacos was born in Chautauqua County, New York on October 13.1961.
Andy graduated from Dunkirk High School, Dunkirk, New York, Class of 1979. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Canisius College, Buffalo, New York, Class of 1983. He obtained his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo, Class of 1987, and completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Montefiore Medical Center, where he served as chief medical resident (1987-1990).
Andy began his medical career as the medical director of the Emergency Department at Kaleida Health, Millard Fillmore-Gates Circle, Buffalo (1990-2002). Andy and his family moved to Wake Forest, where he assumed the role of medical director at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg. In 2004 he was promoted to senior vice president – medical affairs for Hospital Physician Partners. In his role, he traveled extensively to provide support, leadership and guidance to physicians and hospitals around the country.
At a very young age, Andy was passionate about becoming a doctor. Medicine was a large part of Andy’s life and we will never truly know all the effects of the people he healed, those he touched and the lives he changed. What we do know is, Andy was a great leader, who was well respected and loved by his peers. He was gentle, kind and compassionate to everyone he met.
As much as Andy loved medicine, he also loved time with family and friends. Nothing brought him greater joy than to talk about how proud he was of all his children and their accomplishments. He enjoyed traveling all over the world with his spouse, Chuck and family. Disney World was a family favorite. Andy had a great sense of humor with a big infectious laugh that could be heard at one of the many dinner parties Andy and Chuck were known for…
Dr. Pacos is survived by his spouse, Charles “Chuck” Gavazzi; mother, Dorothy T. Pacos of Dunkirk; daughter, Kathryn (Katie) Pacos of Raleigh; sons, Michael Pacos and Sam Pacos of Wake Forest; former wife, Lynn Bieron Pacos of Wake Forest; brother, James “Jim” Pacos (Linda) of Fuquay-Varina and sister, Mary Paulette Pacos of Dunkirk.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael E. Pacos, and brothers, Dennis Pacos and Patrick Pacos.
