In April the Wake Forest Inspections Department issued permits for nine new businesses and provided a list of projects ready for permitting once the office receives additional approvals. The town also provided a list of new businesses in February and March will you can see at the end of this article.
The department issued certificates of occupancy for GrillBillies Barbecue at 10012 Capital Boulevard and an annex for Thales Academy at 3122 Heritage Trade Drive. The department also provided a fire prevention inspection for pre-occupancy for a video game room at 604 Jones Dairy Road.
The permits issued in April are:

*Shell office building at 1933 Brimfield Springs, 9/7/16, waiting on planning
*Villagio Apartments clubhouse, 2605 Via Milano Plaza, approved 6/8/17
*Villagio Apartments pool house, 2609 Via Milano Plaza, approved 6/8/17
*KFC at 12313 Capital Boulevard, approved 9/6/17
*Chick-fil-A at 11730 (probably the drive-thru awning), approved 1/18/18, waiting on planning
*Spoke Cycles bike shop at 417 Brooks Street, approved 3/26/18
*CubeSmart at 12405 Wake Union Church Road, approved 4/27/18
There is a further large list of projects still being reviewed which includes construction or renovations for six restaurants – Firehouse Subs at 11712 Retail Drive, Texas Roadhouse at 11440 Capital Boulevard, Chipotle Mexican Grill at 11700 Retail Drive, Starbucks at 11720 Retail Drive, Which Wich at 2808 Rogers Road and Burger IM at 11480 Capital Boulevard.
