61 homes, 1 hotel and 5 commercial buildings added in February

During February the Wake Forest Inspections Department issued permits for the Fairfield Inn on Retail Drive near Durham Road, five commercial buildings and 61 new homes that include eight townhouses.

Palmetto Design Associates will build the Fairfield Inn at 12051 Retail Drive. The fees were $69,550 and the building is estimated to add $7.3 million to the tax base.

Landmark Construction is constructing two small retail building behind the bank at 1821 South Main Street. Together the fees were $26,579.93 and the estimated value is $1,597,000. Landmark is also building the office for Wake Forest Dental Arts at 1001 Stadium Drive with fees of $16,800 and value of $1.2 million.

Venture Construction Company is building the two 981 Crossing buildings on Retail Drive with fees of $31,319.42 and a value of $1.9 million.

The department also inspected the fit-ups for Mattress Warehouse at 11718 Retail Drive; Vanilla Box at 11710 Retail Drive; School of Rock at 3309 Rogers Road, Suite 101; Pivot Physical Therapy at 1009 Stadium Drive, Suite 124; Duke Cardiology at 3000 Rogers Road, Suite 320; Tonic Bar & Social at 158 South White Street; The Kitchen Store at 708 North Main Street; and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers at 11708 Retail Drive.

There were inspections for pre-occupancy for CBA, Inc. at 1784 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 104; Gladwell Orthodontics at 1784 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 101; The Lemon Tree Café at 113 South White Street; Ms. Chevis Place at 4021 Song Sparrow Drive; Matt Roberts Insurancy Agency at 1768 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 103; Internet Auto Sales at 2014 South Main Street, Suite 604; Open Desk at 5100 Unicon Drive, Suite 105; Wags Happy Dogs at 706 North Main Street; Grillbillies Barbeque at 10012 Capital Boulevard; and Wake Tile & Stone at 1002 Durham Road Suite 100.

Stanley Martin Companies received a permit for three townhouses on Triumph Lane in The Retreat at Renaissance; and Terramor Homes received five townhouses on Brunello Drive in the Siena Townhomes subdivision. Together the fees for all eight were $16,479.50 and the estimated value was  $1,144,893.
