This month’s Business After Hours will be held at Cross+Main at 201 East Main Street in Youngsville and Rocky Top Catering will provide the appetizers and beverages. See you there from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 15.

There are still unsold tickets for the Community Raffle jointly sponsored by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce and Food Lion. Remember, the drawing will be held May 5. A $50 ticket gives you a chance at the 15 prizes, including the grand prize of $10,000. Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry will receive $5,000.

Only 1,500 tickets will be sold, giving you a 1 in 100 chance to win a prize. Tickets can be bought in person at the Wake Forest Chamber, 350 S. White Street, or at B & W Hardware Company, 232 S. White Street. You can also purchase tickets online at https://go.rallyup.com/wfcommunityraffle.

Volunteers are needed for the Senior Lifestyle Expo at Richland Creek Community Church on Burlington Mill Road. Shifts are available Monday evening, March 19, and throughout the day of the expo, Tuesday, March 20. Assistance is needed with vendor unloading, traffic guidance, guest shuttle drives, greeters/info booth, vendor relief and presentation greeter. The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Tuesday, March 20, with 75 booths displays, food samples, door prizes and giveaways.

The event is geared toward both seniors and their adult children who are, or will eventually be, their caregivers.

Vendors can now apply for the 38th Meet in the Street arts and crafts festival which will be held in downtown Wake Forest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5. There are four types of applications based on the vendor participating: handmade arts/crafts, non-profit, food and downtown Wake Forest merchant. Others may qualify as a sponsor.
