*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be held in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street Saturday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to noon. See the market’s Facebook page for vendors for the market. Remember the market will change to its winter hours in November, being open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

*Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday night. All profits support the club’s projects for children. Visit www.wakeforestbingo.com for more information.

*Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry at 149 East Holding Avenue is now open from 9 to 11 a.m. every third Saturday along with its regular hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for food distribution. It serves about 700 families in Wake Forest, Youngsville, Rolesville and their surrounding areas. Call 919-556-7144 for information about receiving food, volunteering and donations. *Hope House Weekly Food Pantry distributes food at 1 p.m. every Thursday. Hope House volunteers pick up the food from the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina and the house typically has vegetables, fruits, salad packages and breads but sometimes does have meat, eggs, fruit juice and milk. *The annual Halloween Spooktacular will be held this year on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Flaherty Park Community Center on North White Street. It is a free, family-oriented festival for children 12 and younger. See more details in the article in this week’s issue.

*M*A*S*H the play will be presented by the Wake Forest High School Drama Department Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, Oct, 25, 26 and 28, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5for students and seniors. Purchase ticket online at www.wfhs.ticketleap.com/mash or at the door.

*The Listening Room, a new monthly music series featuring local and regional musicians. Find it at the Sugar Magnolia Café, 219 South White Street, on Friday, Oct. 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

*The Run for You 5K will happen on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11831 Retail Drive, in front of Run-n-Tri Outfitters to benefit several charities. See article in this issue for more details or go to its website www.milesintosmiles.com.

*A Candidates Forum will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Alston-Massenburg Center at 416 North Taylor Street. Lunch will be served. With the title Educate Yourself Before You Vote, the forum is sponsored by the Knightdale-Wake Forest Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

*GoTriangle will ask Wake Forest residents what they want for transit in the next few years at a meeting Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Northern Regional Center on East Holding Avenue.
