Downtown Wake Forest will be the scene of an incredible live music doubleheader on Friday, Sept. 8, featuring two of our area’s most popular party bands.
Widely recognized as one of our region’s finest bands for over a decade, Crush will headline the final Friday Night on White of 2017. Presented by White Street Brewing Company, the event is free and will take place along South White Street from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Magic Pipers – the band that kicked off the 2016 and 2017 Friday Night on White concerts – will follow during the first FNOW After Party from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 Brooks St.
Tickets for the FNOW After Party are on sale for $5 each (plus tax) at www.wakeforestnc.gov/fnow-after-party.aspx. A limited number of tickets are available, so the event may sell out in advance. If it does not, then tickets will be available at the door.
Food and refreshments, including pizza and popcorn, will be available for purchase at the after party, along with beer, wine, soft drinks and water. Anyone wishing to purchase beer and wine will be required to present age identification.
Designated drivers will be eligible to receive two complimentary soft drinks or waters during the after party. To be eligible, you must be at least 21-years-old with a valid driver’s license. On the evening of the event, visit the Renaissance Centre Box Office for additional details.
Downtown Development Director Lisa Hayes says anyone who enjoys live music should make plans now to attend what promises to be an unforgettable evening of incredible performances in downtown Wake Forest.
“We’re extremely excited to offer this downtown doubleheader featuring two of our area’s most popular party bands,” said Hayes. “For the past two years, the Magic Pipers have set an incredible tone for Friday Night on White by drawing thousands of people to downtown Wake Forest. We can’t imagine a better way of celebrating the success of this year’s series than by bringing them back for our first after party at the Renaissance Centre.”
White Street Brewing Company, Wake Forest Acoustical Corporation, Gladwell Orthodontics, McPherson Family Eye Care, Hasentree by Toll Brothers, Benchmark Community Bank, Superior Medical Staffing, The Dental Care Center and Coastal Credit Union have generously contributed to this event.
The FNOW After Party is designed for area residents ages 21 and older. For more information, visit www.wakeforestnc.gov/fnow-after-party.aspx or call the Renaissance Centre Box Office at 919-435-9458.

This needs to be renamed White People on White. Look at the crowd each week and there are ZERO minorities. Not at all representative of the population of Wake Forest.
