Meeting for specialized recreation programs

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will host a public meeting concerning its specialized recreation programming on Thursday, May 18. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Wake Forest Town Hall Ground Floor Meeting Room, 301 S. Brooks St., and light refreshments will be served. The meeting room is most easily accessed via the facility’s Taylor Street entrance.

As citizens’ needs and demands continue to grow, the PRCR Department is inviting residents to offer their input concerning specialized recreation opportunities offered by the Town.

“The Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Resources Department is dedicated to meeting the needs of its citizens,” said Recreation Specialist Kelly Schurtz. “By meeting with area residents and soliciting their input, we hope to learn about new programs the community wants the Town to offer and find out how we can increase participation in our current initiatives.”

As a means of encouraging greater citizen feedback, the PRCR Department is inviting area residents to complete the Specialized Recreation Survey available on the Town’s website at www.wakeforestnc.gov/specialized-programs.aspx. Information submitted will help PRCR staff identify, develop, and evaluate its specialized recreation programs and services.

Area residents may also submit comments via the online Contact Us form on the Town’s website at www.wakeforestnc.gov/contactus.aspx.
