Hustle to the Senior Lifestyle Expo Tuesday

The Senior Lifestyle Expo, a program of the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, is set for Tuesday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Richland Creek Community Church. The expo is specifically designed for the area’s growing population of active seniors.

“The Senior Lifestyle Expo is modeled after our very successful Business Expos,” Corey Hutcherson, the chamber’s vice president of community relations, said. “It’s a way to bring together businesses that have products and services targeted to adults over the age of 50. At the same time, residents can mingle and learn about different businesses, volunteer organizations, and other recreational activities that may appeal to them.”

Presented by Carillon Assisted Living of Wake Forest, the expo offers free admission, free wellness screenings, free coffee and refreshments, and more than 60 exhibitor booths. It promises to be an entertaining and educational experience for all.

In addition to the exhibitors, presentations will be made throughout the day. Topics include The Effects of Untreated Hearing Loss; Prescription Drugs for Seniors; and Laughter Yoga. Door prizes will also be awarded and include an Arts Package with tickets to the North Carolina Symphony; a Home Package with gift certificates from B&W Hardware and Lowe’s Foods; and a Relaxation Package that includes a massage and sessions at the Stretch Zone.

“Along with Carillon Assisted Living, we want to thank several other businesses that have stepped up to support this endeavor,” Hutcherson said. “They are making it possible to produce this high-quality event. Thanks to Gold Sponsors Raleigh Hearing and Tinnitus Center, Senior Plan Advisors, and Traditions at Wake Forest. Silver Sponsors include The Wake Weekly, Bright Funeral Home, Nu Image Surgical, CenturyLink, and Resources for Seniors. Bronze Sponsors include Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home, Monroe Wallace Law Group, North Wake Eye Care, Quality Plus Automotive, Richland Creek Community Church, and The Rolesville Buzz.”

The Senior Lifestyle Expo is free and open to the public. Richland Creek Community Church is at 3229 Burlington Mills Road in Wake Forest. Parking is free and groups are welcome.
