Applicants will be expected to attend the February meeting of the advisory board to which they applied in order to introduce themselves to the board’s current members and explain why they wish to serve:

Following the interviews, each advisory board will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendations to the board of commissioners. The board will announce the new appointments during its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 21. Terms for the new appointees will commence immediately. Selected applicants will volunteer for three-year terms, except where unexpired terms are being filled.
The town’s advisory boards were established to give citizens input into what happens in the community and to advise the Board of Commissioners on matters that affect citizens and their town government. For more information, contact Town Clerk Deeda Harris at 919-435-9413 or dharris@wakeforestnc.gov.
