*The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church on Friendship Chapel Road with a fellowship dinner at 6 p.m. and the program at 7 p.m.
*The Wake Forest Town Board will hold its annual planning retreat in the Patterson Building on the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (the Renaissance Centre is undergoing renovations) on Friday, Jan. 27, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is welcome. *The Senior Lifestyle Expo will be held Tuesday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Richland Creek Community Church on Burlington Mills Road. There will be more than 50 booths, informative speakers, demonstrations and performances, health screening, refreshments and giveaways. Entrance is free.
