Marierose Durkee Boiselle

Marierose Durkee Boiselle, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday morning, December 10, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in New London, Conneticut, the daughter of the late Stephen Durkee Sr, and Rose Marie Derle Durkee. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell E. Boiselle.
Marierose is survived by her sons, Ellis (Ted) Reynolds of Connecticut, and Fayett Thomas Finney (wife Sarah); daughters, Dallas Finney Snelgrove of North Carolina and Lorilyn Boiselle Kallen (husband Derek) of New York; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Stephen Durkee Jr. of Connecticut.
She was an U.S. Army veteran, worked in the medical field at L&M Hospital in Connecticut, and retired from General Dynamics Electric Boat Division in Groton, Connecticut in 1996, being a member of the Pipefitters Local 777.

Betty Jean Raynor Bridges

Betty Jean Raynor Bridges, 75, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, at Rex Hospital. She was born in Granville County, the daughter of the late Catherine Florence Thomerson Raynor and William Pierce Raynor. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Rudy” Bridges; a sister; Frances Watson; and a brother, John Ed Raynor.
A funeral service was held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon December 12, 2016, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Pastor David Shaffer officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bridges is survived by her daughters, Carol Henley of Youngsville, Deborah Phillips and her husband, Rodney, of Raleigh, Kathy Emory and her husband, Danny, of Creedmoor; brothers, William Raynor and his wife, Hilda Jean, of Raleigh and Jimmy Raynor and his wife, Kaye, of Oxford, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Arthur Lee Gurganus passed away on December 10, 2016. He was born on May 7, 1949 in Pasquotank County, the son of Charles and Marguerit Gurganus.
A private funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, December 18, 2016, at the Gurganus family home.
Mr. Gurganus is survived by his daughter,Theresa; son, Jeffrey; brothers, Jerry, Tommy and Robert; and five grandchildren.

Cecelia Minella, 86, died Monday, December 12, 2016. Cecelia was born May 8, 1930 in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph Laychak and the Mary Hlad Laychak. Mrs. Minella was a communicant of Holy Trinty Catholic Church in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, and St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Wake Forest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Minella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in West Mifflin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Paul Minella and wife, Renee, of Wake Forest; and three grandchildren, Jacqueline Minella, Brandon Minella and Tara Minella.

Gina M. Stell, 39, whose presence is truly missed, died suddenly on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at home. She was born March 17, 1977 to Gail Mangan Morse and Major Shirley.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2016, at Falls Community Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Wade Stell Jr.; three daughters, Lillian Savon Stell, Chloe Amelya Stell and Olivia Cheyenne Stell; her mother, Gail Marie Morse; brother, Mark William Shirley and wife, Ruth; sister, Susan Renee Jenkins; nephew, Dylan Grey Jenkins; mother-in-law, Phyllis Winter Coats; father-in-law, Kenneth Wade Stell Sr.; brother-in-law, Alex Stell; sister-in-law, Laura Stell; and a niece, Violet Jean Stell.

Eva Smith Troutman, 92, died Monday, December 5, 2016, at the Franklin Oaks Nursing Center in Louisburg. She was born in Davie County, the daughter of the late Mary Myrtle Starr Smith and Enoch W. Smith.
A graveside service was held at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, December 7, 2016, at the Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton with the Rev. Robert Collier officiating.
Mrs. Troutman is survived by her son, David E. Watts of Louisburg; her daughter, Carol Reid; a sister, Jettie S. Carter; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter, Maggie Roman of Charlotte.

Betty Hall Wilkinson

Betty Hall Wilkinson, 87, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016. She was born August 14, 1929 in Winston-Salem to the late Ellis Hall and Rachel Evans Hall.
Betty was a graduate of Reynolds High School and Meredith College. While at Meredith she was asked to go on a blind date which turned into meeting her future husband, Robert Watson Wilkinson III.
Mrs. Wilkinson was a lifetime member of the Home Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, a charter member of the Wake Forest Women’s Club and a member of the Wake Forest College Birthplace Society. She and her husband were both avid bridge players in the Couple Bridge Club of Wake Forest.
A private burial will take place at Wake Forest Cemetery.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clinton Fontan Wilkinson, and a brother, Col. Ellis F. Hall.
Mrs. Wilkinson is survived by her husband of 66 years, R. Watson Wilkinson III; two sons, Bob Wilkinson and wife, Laurie, and Billy Wilkinson and wife, Gretchen; grandchildren, Mary and husband, Billy, Emily and husband, David, William, Mason and Mitchell; and great-grandchildren, Wilks, June, Watson and Mabel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Wilkinson’s memory may be made to the Wake Forest Women’s Club Scholarship Fund or to Transitions Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh NC 27607.
