*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in the Renaissance Plaza parking lot on Saturday, Nov. 12, with its winter hours, 10 a.m. to noon.

*Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday night. All profits support the club’s projects for children. Visit www.wakeforestbingo.com for more information.

*A Veterans Day Sunset Ceremony will be held Friday, Nov. 11, from 5 to 5:30 p.m. in Centennial Plaza in front of Wake Forest Town Hall on Brooks Street.

*Art After Hours will bring shoppers and strollers to historic downtown South White Street Friday, Nov. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. Shops and studios will be open. End by enjoying a meal in one of the downtown restaurants.

*The Wake Forest Rotary Club Oyster Roast will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 525 South White Street – the warehouse and field owned by Bob and Elizabeth Johnson. See details in this week’s issue.

*Bright Star Touring Theatre will present Holiday Songs Saturday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Alston-Massenburg Center on North Taylor Street. The free performance is best enjoyed by children from pre-K through fifth grade.

*Bring out that tux and the ball gown and get your tickets for the 2016 Renaissance Centre Broadway Ball for the Arts on Saturday, Nov. l2 in the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre from 6 to 10:15 p.m. Go to www.wakeforestnc.gov/tickets-events/aspx for tickets.

*The 11th annual Gobblers Run will start from the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club at 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, and a record number of runners are expected. To find out how to be a sponsor or among the runners or one of the valuable volunteers, go to www.gobblersrun.com. All money raised goes to the Boys & Girls Club, a total of $255,000 so far.

**Friday, Dec. 2, 6 to 8 p.m. The Lighting of Wake Forest in Centennial Plaza in front of Wake Forest Town Hall on Brooks Street. Free.

**Saturday, Dec. 3, 1 to 7 p.m. The Historic Christmas Home Tour. See article in this issue for ticket and tour information.

**Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Downtown Holiday Open House along South White Street. This is free but you probably will not be able to resist the special sales and offerings so bring cash or cards.

**Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wake Forest Holiday Artisans Market in the Renaissance Centre sponsored by the Wake Forest Farmers Market.

**Sunday, Dec. 4, 3 p.m. The Wake Forest Children’s Choir will perform at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts. This is free.

**Monday, Dec. 5, 6:30 p.m. The Wake Forest Community Christmas Dinner will be held in The Forks Cafeteria. See information about tickets and the annual awards for local people and organizations. This is the 69th year for the dinner.

**Saturday, Dec. 10, 1 p.m. The Wake Forest Christmas Parade will delight thousands as it winds through the historic downtown district.

**Saturday, Dec. 10, 7:30 p.m. A Christmas Jubilee Concert featuring the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra will entertain at the Renaissance Centre. Advance tickets of $15 and $13 for students and seniors will go on sale soon.

*Storytelling Pajama Night featuring Rags to Riches Theatre will be held Friday, Dec. 14, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. It is part of the Wake Forest Renaissance Center’s Arts for All free community performance series supported by the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County.
