The town is considering purchasing a 1.7-acre parcel on East Holding Avenue, Deputy Town Manager Roe O’Donnell said at the close of the town board’s work session Tuesday night. The land would be used for parking at the senior center during the planned expansion of North Wake Senior Center. It is owned by the town and operated by Resources for Seniors.

At the close of the Wake Forest Planning Board meeting Tuesday night, Planning Director Chip Russell said it was the last planning board meeting for Assistant Director Chad Sary, whose resignation was effective Wednesday.
Sary, who has been with the department for15 years, said he will now be working for M/I Homes in their land development department. “They are a great firm and I’m excited about the opportunity.” M/I Homes is one of the builders working in Traditions. One of the leading national firms building single-family houses and communities, it is active in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Florida and Texas.

It is mostly weather-dependent, but the grand opening for the Wake Forest Fire Department’s Station #4 on Jenkins Road should happen in the next few weeks if the concrete cures and other last-minute details are worked out.

That did confuse me. Perhaps a “which” would have been a useful connector instead.
