*A Candidates Forum for the five people running for three seats on the Wake Forest Town Board will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the second-floor board meeting room in Wake Forest Town Hall on Brooks Street. Jointly sponsored by the Town of Wake Forest and theWake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, the questions for the candidates will be prepared by the chamber’s Government Affairs Committee.
*A Meet and Greet for the municipal candidates in Wake Forest, Rolesville, Wendell, Knightdale and Zebulon will be held Thursday, Oct. 15, beginning at p.m. in Knightdale Town Hall, 950 Steeple Square Court.

*The annual meeting of The Wake Forest College Birthplace Society will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Wake Forest Historical Association. The speaker will be Gene Boyce, who earned his undergraduate and law degrees on the old campus and went on to serve as assistant chief counsel to the Watergate Committee.
