Preserve the Connections on Sunday, May 5

Save the date! Join us on Sunday, May 5, for the Second Annual Preserve the Connections event. This is an event that aims to bring together vendors, artisans, neighbors, and charities.

The idea behind this event is to strengthen the connections within our communities. Regina Jones and Kimberly Wieberg, both residents of Preserve at Smith Creek and small business entrepreneurs, have teamed up to organize an event that you just can’t miss. Regina, from OnWire Real Estate, says that she is “excited to connect with community members, entrepreneurs, and the two amazing charities that will benefit from this wonderful event.”

This year we have added a three level sponsorship opportunity.  Hearth Counseling & Consulting ( hearthcc.com ) is the first to agree to support the event by being a vendor sponsor.  Vendor Sponsorship is set up into three levels to fit any size of company/vendor/organization:

Bronze Level: $100 or more  donation receives social media blasts

Silver Level:  $150 or more  donation  receives bronze level + logo on volunteer tshirt

Gold Level:   $200 or more donation receives silver level + airtime blurbs during event + possible radio spots

The event will feature over 30 vendors, two food trucks – Taqueria Cinco de Mayo and JAM Soft Serve Ice Cream, live music, and two free yoga experiences with Jeevan Roshanee, LLC.

The vendor booths will be set up inside the Preserve at Smith Creek clubhouse (1153 Smith Creek Way, Wake Forest, NC – nearest crossroads are Bruce Garner & Graham Sherron), where you will find fifteen different vendors. There will also be junior vendors – young entrepreneurs showcasing their skills and creativity. After the indoor shopping, you will exit to over ten outdoor vendor booths that include vendors selling artisan products and home services.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Throughout the event, there will be local musicians performing live cover songs as well as their original music. You can also enjoy delicious food from Taqueria Cinco de Mayo and JAM Soft Serve Ice Cream food trucks, support local vendors, and shop for amazing products. All vendor booth fees, as well as 10% of the food truck proceeds, will go to support two incredible charities: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Triangle and Note in the Pocket.

Kimberly Wieberg owner of CAEN handmade says, “With Mother’s Day being the following weekend, I think this event will offer lots of options for the Wake Forest and South Granville communities to support local vendors by saving their Mother’s Day shopping for this event!”

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for this exciting event. It’s going to be the perfect way to kick off the month of May in northwest Wake Forest!
