The Town of Wake Forest is initiating a watershed study to identify and address citizens’ concerns about water quality, drainage, stormwater infrastructure, and erosion issues within the Tom’s Creek Watershed which encompasses all or parts of the St. Andrews, St. Andrews Plantation, Stonegate, Summerwoods, Moss Creek, and Carriage Run neighborhoods.
Residents of these neighborhoods are invited to visit https://engagewakeforest.org/toms-creek-watershed-study and provide their input via an online survey. Available through Friday, March 31, the survey takes less than five minutes to complete.
In addition, the Wake Forest Engineering Department will host a virtual public meeting on Thursday, March 30, at 6 p.m. to solicit input from residents who live in the Tom’s Creek Watershed. The session will include a brief presentation, followed by an open discussion where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share suggestions. Town staff will be on hand to respond and gather public input. The link to the virtual meeting is provided at https://engagewakeforest.org/toms-creek-watershed-study.
Citizen input is the cornerstone of the Tom’s Creek Watershed Study. For more information, email CIP Manager Steve Meyer at smeyer@wakeforestnc.gov.
This project is supported by a grant from the US Treasury as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds award totaling $14.5 million. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/TOWF_ARPA.
