The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce has established a new committee, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee that is meeting regularly to determine what the chamber can do to support minority-owned businesses in the Wake Forest area. Access to capital, entrepreneurship training and mentorships are being discussed and planned.
The chamber members can help with a new data base of the minority-owned businesses in the area. Chamber President Ann Welton is asking members to send her the business name, contact name and other information of minority-owned businesses they know of. They do not have to be chamber members.
