Save the Dates, September 17 and 22: Two local restaurants will donate a percentage of your meal tab to this year’s CROP Hunger Walk, a virtual walk held Sunday, Sept. 27.
Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza, located at 11721 Retail Drive #105 will host a share night on September 17 from 1 to 8 p.m. for 25% of all sales. This is a carry-out-only restaurant. It will not be necessary to show a coupon or to speak up about the event when ordering or paying.
Milton’s Pizza and Pasta, located in the Wakefield Commons, will host a share night on Sept. 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. for either dine inside, dine outside, or carry out. Customers will need to mention they are supporting CROP Hunger Walk.
This year’s walking events will have do-it-yourself themes, with the individuals and teams having the option to plan their own routes. Suggestions for where to walk are the greenways, parks, neighborhoods, parking lots, neighborhoods, or at home. We encourage walkers to share their participation with social media.
We will celebrate our common goal of Ending Hunger One Step at a Time. Experience the joy that comes with helping others. Walk. Give. Save the world.
On September 27 Tri-Area Ministry (149 E. Holding Ave.) will have on-site volunteers
for donations of food from 1 to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 4 p.m.
