The top two teams will receive a variety of prizes donated by Ads N Art Screenprinting, Chick-fil-A, Barton College Esports, Contender eSports, MSG Art and Design, Wake Forest Awards & Engraving, and Play4Life Comics.
Considered one of the top esports games in the nation, Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game developed and published by Psyonix. The game was first released for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 in July 2015, with ports for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch released later.
According to Digital Trends, “There are few games that embody “pure fun” quite like Rocket League. It’s not a hard game to understand: You drive a car, you hit a massive ball into the opposing goal, and first team to score the most points wins. It’s that simplicity that makes Rocket League such an excellent game, though. No matter if you’re an indoctrinated RPG player with thousands of hours on record or someone who likes to take a load off with Animal Crossing, Rocket League has something for you.”
