In July the Wake Forest Inspections Department issued 61 permits for new homes – 49 single-family houses and 12 townhouses – and a permit for a new commercial building on Rogers Road.
Mark Dixon of Qualified Builders Inc. of Raleigh will construct the retail building at 2815 Rogers Road, the 1.3-acre lot next to the Rite-Aid pharmacy under construction. The fees totaled $35,930.21 and the building is estimated to add $455,845 in value to the town tax base. Lat Purser & Associates of Charlotte bought the property and an adjoining one in January this year.
Inspectors also approved the fit-ups for two businesses – Bada Bean Coffee & Things at 938 Gateway Commons Circle and a fabric retail store at 992 Durham Road – as well as two separate retail space suites, one at 1000 Forestville Road and the other at 1040 Forestville Road. In addition, they inspected for pre-occupancy for the Lyfe Media Group at 1002 Durham Road, Triangle Health Plans at 833 Wake Forest Business Park on Durham Road and unspecified office space at 833 Wake Forest Business Park.
The 12 townhouses will all be built by Dan Ryan Builders from 9930 to 9940 Sweet Basil Drive in the Franklin County section of the Richland Hills subdivision. The total fees were $65,427 and the homes will add $941,388 to the town’s tax base.
