The Wake Forest Inspections Department permitted three new commercial buildings, inspected for seven new businesses and signed off on 24 single-family houses and eight townhouses in May.
Primax Construction is building the Rite-Aid Pharmacy at 2811 Rogers Road ($34,291.64 in fees, 11,115 sq. ft., $940,000 in improvement value); Jonathan Medlin will build Envision Science Academy at 1100 Oak Grove Church Road ($71,980.45 in fees, no square footage noted, $7,465,000 in improvement value); and Andujar Construction will build Sam’s Express Car War at 2900 Rogers Road ($40,332.60 in fees, 3,994 sq. ft., $1.7 million in improvement value).
The May fit-ups were for these businesses: Details, a clothing store at 221 South White Street,; Grandma’s Diner at 11216 Capital Boulevard, Wake Pointe shopping center, the small center just west of Walmart; Mattress Firm at 12616 Capital Boulevard, Wake Crossing shopping center; and unspecified office space at 833 Wake Forest Business Park on Durham Road.
The department inspected for pre-occupancy at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home at 1051 Durham Road, which has opened for business; Body Well Therapeutic Massage at 853 Wake Forest Business Park on Durham Road; and Monolith dba IDS at 12339 Wake Union Church Road.
The eight townhouses will all be built by CH Construction in the senior living section of Caveness Apartments, four on Winter Wren Circle and four on Blue Bird Lane for a total of $45,577 in fees, 14,836 sq. ft., and $1,048,000 in improvement value.
The 24 single-family homes are listed by applicant, address, subdivision, stream basin, fees paid, square footage and improvement value estimated by the applicant.
